Melissa has worked with children for many years. She began her career at a Preschool in Wilton, CT. Next, melissa found herself moving to Oregon, where she found work as a lead teacher of a childcare center in Oswego. When she returned back to Connecticut, Melissa continued to work in childcare, worked as a kindergarten assistant in Easton, CT, and also found work as a nanny for several different families over the years.
Melissa is no stranger to children! She has two grown children of her own, a daughter and a son. She also has three fur babies, two dogs and a cat.
In her off time, Melissa enjoys reading, English horseback riding, and spending time with friends.
Melissa hopes to lease a horse in the future so she can get back to doing more riding. She is always looking for new things to learn that she can bring to the children. She is planning to learn a new language and learn to play the ukulele, "So I can play for the children, and we can sing together!" Melissa seeks to expand her knowledge in the field of early childhood education and is always on the look-out for classes and workshops. She continues "to find ways to create more fun and exciting science and art projects for the kids".
